This notice explains the data practices of creataai.com and the current Creata AI iPhone app. It separates today’s cloud-backed features from our local- and edge-first product direction.
The short version. The website uses analytics to understand visits and App Store clicks. Some app features require a network connection to process a request. Local and edge inference are a future direction, not a claim about every feature available today.

This notice covers the Creata AI website and the Creata AI Art & Chat app distributed by Creata AI LLC. Third-party websites, the App Store, and products linked from this site have their own privacy terms.
Website information
Site analyticscreataai.com uses Google Analytics to measure page visits and marketing actions such as App Store clicks. Google may process browser, device, page-view, and interaction information under its own terms and controls.
Hosting and security logsThe website is hosted on Netlify. Hosting infrastructure may create standard request and security logs needed to operate and protect the service.
Links and downloadsWhen you follow a link to the App Store or another website, that service’s privacy policy applies. We do not control their data practices.
App information
Creata AI Art & Chat needs a network connection for most of its creative and chat features. When you use one of these features, only the data below is sent, and only to the provider needed to complete that request. The current App Store privacy label is on the App Store product page.
Photos you choose to editUsed for Avatar and headshot creation, AI Interior Design, photo sharpening, image enlargement, Magic Edit (editing a photo by describing the change), and other photo-based style edits. Sent to Replicate, our third-party AI image-processing provider. The app asks your permission the first time you use a photo-based AI feature, before your photo is sent, and you can revoke that permission any time from Profile → About in the app.
Voice recordings you make or uploadUsed for the Voice Clone feature, when you record your voice or upload an audio file. Sent to Replicate, our third-party AI voice-processing provider. The app asks your permission the first time, before your recording or file is sent, and you can revoke that permission any time from Profile → About. Bundled preset voices included with the app are not your personal data and don’t require this permission.
Voice recordings for Voice ChangerUsed for the Voice Changer feature (Starter and Pro plans), when you record your voice or upload an audio file to have it re-rendered in a different voice. Sent to ElevenLabs, our third-party AI voice-processing provider. The app asks your permission the first time, before your recording or file is sent, and you can revoke that permission any time from Profile → About.
Text promptsUsed for Chat, summaries and drafts written from a link or text you provide, song lyrics, text-to-image generation, and music generation. Sent to OpenAI (Chat, summaries, drafts, lyrics and DALL·E-based image generation), Stability AI or Runway (other text-to-image modes), Replicate (music generation on the Free plan), or ElevenLabs (music generation on Starter and Pro plans) — depending on which mode or model you choose. Sending a chat prompt starts that processing; Chat does not show a separate permission dialog. If your app language isn’t English, the same text may also be sent to Google Translate to translate it.
Links you paste or shareWhen you paste a link (or share one to Creata from Safari or another app) to have it read aloud, summarized or turned into audio, the link is sent to Creata’s server, which fetches that page for you; the website you linked sees a request from our server, not from your device. We use the page’s text only to fulfill your request and do not keep it. Reading a page aloud with your device’s own voice sends nothing to an AI provider.
Text you turn into audio or songsUsed for “Download as MP3”, “Two-host podcast”, “Make it a song” and listening in a Creata voice (Starter and Pro plans, or a Free account using credits it already holds). When you listen in a Creata voice, your text is sent a few paragraphs at a time and we keep neither the text nor the audio. The text is sent to Cartesia (the Premium voices for listening, MP3s and podcasts) and ElevenLabs (songs, the Ultra voices, and voices if Cartesia is unavailable), and for a podcast also to OpenAI, which writes the conversation script. The app asks your permission the first time, before your text is sent, and you can revoke that permission any time from Profile → About.
Your account and Sign in with AppleThe app creates an anonymous account on your device the first time you open it; it holds your credits and plan. Before you buy a plan, or whenever you choose to from Profile, you can sign in with Apple so you can get that account back after reinstalling the app or on a new phone. If you do, Apple tells us a stable Apple user ID and, the first time only, the name and email you choose to share (you can hide your email, in which case Apple gives us a private relay address instead). We keep these with your account to recognise it when you sign in again and to show your name in the app. We don’t use them for advertising or tracking, and we don’t send them to the AI providers listed above. We also keep a token from Apple, stored encrypted, only so we can ask Apple to revoke it when you delete your account. If you restore an existing account, credits you bought on the temporary account on that phone are moved to it. Signing in with Apple is only offered in the iPhone app.
Deleting your accountYou can delete your account from Profile in the app. We disconnect its Apple ID immediately and ask Apple to revoke our sign-in token; the same Apple ID can then start a fresh account. After 30 days, we delete the account record, the name and email from Apple, your credit balance, and records of creations, requests, and usage linked to the account. Stored audio files expire after seven days as described below. Purchase and payment transaction records may be kept separately for accounting, security, and legal obligations. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription: cancel it in your Apple ID settings.
Usage information in the appThe app records which features you use (for example that you tapped “Write a song”), whether a request worked and how long it took, the broad length of the text you entered (such as “21–100 characters”), your app language, the app version and your device’s platform. It is linked to your app’s account identifier, not to your name or email. It never includes the text, links, photos, audio or files you submit. It is used to fix problems and improve the app.
Features that stay on your deviceThe Creata Safari extension reads the page you choose to send and hands its text to the app on your device; the extension makes no network requests. Reading a story from screenshots (for example from Apple News) recognizes the text on your device. Reminders are stored on your device and use iPhone notifications; their text is generic, so titles and prompts do not appear on a lock screen. “Save as a voice file” records your device’s own voice on your device. None of these sends anything to Creata or an AI provider until you choose an option that does, and then the permissions above apply.
What we don’t sendWe don’t attach your Creata AI account information (name, email) to the content above — each request sends only what’s needed to generate that result. Something you share to Creata from another app is kept on your device only until Creata opens it. Fully on-device features, such as our local FusionBrain art model, don’t send your photo or prompt anywhere.
Temporary and stored copiesTo edit a photo with Magic Edit, a copy of the photo is briefly placed on Creata’s cloud storage (Cloudflare) so the AI provider can retrieve it, and is deleted as soon as the edit finishes. Audio produced by Voice Changer, by music generation on paid plans, and by MP3s, podcasts and songs is stored on Creata’s cloud storage (Cloudflare) so the app can play it back to you, and is deleted automatically after 7 days.
Data protection standardEvery third-party AI provider listed above is required to protect your data to a standard equal to or greater than our own, and to use it only to generate the result you requested — not for unrelated purposes such as advertising. Each provider's own privacy policy, linked above, sets out how they handle it.
All third-party AI providers we share data with (Replicate, OpenAI, Stability AI, Runway, ElevenLabs, Cartesia, Google Translate) are contractually and technically required to protect your data to a standard equal to or greater than our own. They may use it to fulfill your request and for their own standard security, abuse-monitoring, and legal-compliance purposes. How each provider handles the data it receives is governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy policy, linked above; we send only what is needed to fulfill your request.
Before adding new local or edge inference capabilities, Creata AI will publish a feature-level explanation of whether the feature runs on device, uses cloud processing, or offers a choice between the two.
Our privacy direction
We are building toward more local and edge processing so creative work can stay closer to the device where it began. Until a capability ships, we will not describe it as available. When it does ship, we will identify the processing location and the controls available to you.
Your choices and questions
You can choose not to submit content to cloud-backed features, and you can decline or later revoke permission for any photo-, voice- or text-to-audio feature from Profile → About in the app. You can also control browser cookies through your browser settings.
